Description
Cross-domain idea generation: random constraint lattice (material, energy, time, interaction, scale), 3 novel ideas.
Unconstrained brainstorming produces familiar ideas. Constraint-based generation forces novelty by imposing rules that default thinking cannot satisfy. LATTICE DIMENSIONS (pick 3-5): - MATERIAL: paper, silicon, air, data, sound, light - ENERGY: gravity, friction, human attention, solar, kinetic - TIME: ephemeral, periodic, permanent - INTERACTION: one-handed, eyes-closed, via another object - SCALE: fingertip, room-sized, planetary, microscopic - FEEDBACK: audible click, visible change, thermal shift, social acknowledgment RULE: Pick one value from each dimension at random. The idea must satisfy ALL constraints. EXAMPLE: MATERIAL=sound + INTERACTION=eyes-closed + TIME=permanent yields an audio monument that plays only when someone walks past with eyes closed. Each visitor hears a different fragment. OUTPUT: 3 ideas from random constraint combinations. For each: constraints, idea in 50 words, which constraint forced the most creative leap.
